At Zirmei in the Puez Group (North West Face).

First ascent: May 22 nd 1993 with Christian Denicolò (at the second attempt).

It was my first “first ascent”. Whenever I was jogging through Vallunga I saw all the towers and pillars there and dreamed of climbing them all.

The Ladin name “Surëdl” means “Sun” as we have never seen the sun there.

Descent: through a narrow shelf towards north.
